About Pipeline 3LPE Anti-corrosion Technology
3-Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) is a multi-layer corrosion resistant external coating composed of three functional components:
◆ A high performance Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) primer(FBE>100um), followed by a copolymer adhesive (AD 170~250um) and an outer layer of polyethylene (PE 2.5~3.7mm) which provides tough, durable protection.
◆ 3LPE anti-corrosion technology combines the excellent properties of epoxy coating and extruded polyethylene anti-corrosion coating, and combines the interface properties and chemical resistance properties of epoxy coating with the mechanical protection properties of extruded polyethylene, significantly extends the service life of pipelines underground or underwater.
◆ The 3 layer polyethylene coated pipes are widely used for oil&gas transmission around the world and for transportation of drinking water and other fluids.
