Geomembrane is a kind of waterproof barrier material made of high density polyethylene resin by melting, extrusion and calendering at high temperature. It plays an important role in civil engineering. Geomembrane has excellent anti-seepage performance and can effectively prevent the penetration of liquid in soil. It can isolate soil or materials of different properties to prevent mutual contamination.
The geomembrane uses plastic film as the anti-seepage base material, and is a geotechnical anti-seepage material compounded with non-woven fabrics. The anti-seepage performance of the new material geomembrane mainly depends on the anti-seepage performance of the plastic film. Plastic films for anti-seepage applications at home and abroad mainly include polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), EVA (ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer), and ECB (ethylene vinyl acetate modified asphalt copolymer) is also designed for tunnel applications. They are a kind of polymer chemical flexible material with small specific gravity, strong extensibility, high adaptability to deformation, corrosion resistance, low temperature resistance, and good frost resistance.
