Cold-applied tape refers to the adhesive tape used for wraparound anti-corrosion of pipe.
Cold-applied tape generally includes polyethylene anti-corrosion tape, polypropylene reinforced fiber anti-corrosion tape, aluminum foil anti-ultraviolet anti-corrosion tape and double-sided adhesive anti-corrosion tape. The executive standards are SY/T 0414-2017, SY/T 0447-2014.
The cold-applied tape is composed by two layers: the base film is polyethylene film, and the adhesive layer is butyl rubber, which has good mechanical strength and adhesion and sealing performance. According to its function, it can be divided into anti-corrosion belt (inner belt), protective belt (outer belt) and patch belt. According to the requirements of the anti-corrosion layer, it is divided into ordinary grade, reinforced grade and extra reinforced grade.
