In the pipeline anti - corrosion industry, FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy) and 3PE (Three - Layer Polyethylene) are two common anti - corrosion processes, and their corresponding production lines also have many differences. Structurally, FBE has only one layer, while 3PE has three layers. FBE is fused epoxy powder, which mainly protects the pipeline from chemical corrosion. 3PE, on the basis of FBE, adds the processes of adhesive spraying and polyethylene material winding, greatly enhancing the anti - corrosion performance of the coating and the service life of the pipeline. The first step of 3PE production is sandblasting or shot blasting derusting, which aims to remove surface impurities and enhance the adhesion of the anti - corrosion layer. After that, the steel pipe is hoisted to the winding station. The second step is to heat the steel pipe through medium - frequency electric heating to enhance the adhesion and viscosity of the epoxy powder. The third step is to spray the bottom - layer epoxy powder, that is, the FBE layer.
